Salvation Information

Dear Friend:

Did you know that there is a God that created the earth and loves humankind? After the fallen angel Lucifer was removed from Heaven because of sin and selfishness, Lucifer or Satan came to planet earth to tempt the first humans Adam and Eve to distrust God and to sin. Unfortunately, the Bible tells us he was successful. This is how the first human parents brought the results of sin, which is suffering and death to our planet. Not only did our human natures change, but now we have a supernatural enemy that tries to tempt mankind to evil and cause untold misery and woe.

God is more powerful than this enemy. He also devised a plan to save mankind from this wiley foe and save us from ourselves. This plan involved promising to send His son Jesus Christ to this planet and pay the guilt penalty for our sins. The Bible says that the wages of sin is death. Sin's end result is always death and pain. But God sent His Son to pay for our sins and provide a plan of salvation for mankind. How does this work?

1. Through your conscience God has been drawing you to Himself. He wants to change your selfish nature into a nature of kindness and love.

2. He wants to set you free from your addictions and forgive you for any sin you have committed.

3. He wants to come into a relationship with you and help you grow so that you will hate sin and be filled with love.

4. He wants you to accept His death on the cross to pay the price for all your sins so that you won't have to die eternally, He doesn't want you to pay the price yourself, He paid it already for you on the cross if you accept this free gift.

How does this take place?

It happens when someone hears this good news and wants to be a part of God's family. They tell God through prayer (He can hear you wherever you are) that they want Jesus to come into their lives. (We must give Him permission because God doesn't force us to be His follower, it is Satan that tries to force and enslave us.) We come to God just as we are, we cannot wait to become better or make ourselves good. We can come all messed up, confused, just as we are. God loves it when we come to Him. He doesn't turn us away. Then He brings a true sorrow for sin into our hearts. This doesn't happen all at once but He does it if we are willing. This sorrow helps us turn away from those sins that are hurting us. He changes our characters so we adopt loveliness and goodness instead of selfishness. After we have asked Him into our lives, we can have the assurance that He is saving us. We can trust that He will do what He has promised, and if we do not give up, if we comply with the conditions of salvation as He reveals them to us from His Word (the Bible) we can have peace about our destiny and strength to live abundant wonderful lives. If we don't give up, He won't give up on us. It is only if we turn away and stop really seeking God that we can choose to reject Him and lose our salvation.

God's plan is to use other believers in His church to help save you. He will also use you to help save others. Start reading the Bible and try to find a church that will be in harmony with the teachings of God's Word. There are many false churches out there, counterfeits, but if you pray and earnestly study God's word and seek to find a church family that seeks to live according to the Bible He will lead you to such a community. By talking to God (prayer) and listening to God (Reading and Following the Bible) we will grow nearer and nearer to God. He promises that He will send the Holy Spirit to live within us so that we will be kept in His ways. We must ask for the Holy Spirit too.

If you would like to talk about your salvation with me, please contact me, I would love to help in anyway I can.

Sincerely,

Daniel Graham, Pastor
